The World Federation of the Deaf is a high-impact international organization, based out of Finland, that helps coordinate national Deaf associations in 133 different countries. WFD promotes access to sign language in developing countries and collaborates with Deaf leaders and policymakers to implement human rights mechanisms.

Recently, WFD was a huge force in getting direct references to Deaf and disabled people included in the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda. In addition, all of their board members are Deaf or HoH themselves!
